60% Faster Cost Reporting

01 — THE CHALLENGE

What problem were we solving?

Main contractors lacked a centralised way to manage quotations, variations, and client approvals, resulting in manual data entry, unclear cost exposure, and approval confusion during active projects.

02 — SCOPE OF WORK

Scope of Our Work

End-to-end design and development of a construction cost control and quotation management platform focused on financial visibility, structured approvals, and seamless project tracking.

Research

Analyze construction cost workflows, quotation handling, variation management, and approval processes to design a structured project control system.

User Experience (UX)

Design clear flows for project setup, quotation uploads, variation tracking, client approvals, and supervisor queries with minimal manual input.

User Interface (UI)

Create clean, professional web and mobile interfaces focused on financial dashboards, quotations, variations, and approval visibility.

Prototype

Build interactive prototypes to validate quotation submission, variation review, approval/rejection flows, and supervisor interactions.

Development

Develop a scalable web platform and mobile app integrating role-based access, quotation and variation workflows, approval tracking, secure document handling, and backend APIs.

03 — THE APPROACH

How we approached the build

01

Discovery & Research

Conducted in-depth interviews with contractors, quantity surveyors, and project managers to map every pain point in the existing cost control workflow.

02

Platform Architecture

Designed a modular web architecture with role-based access, real-time data syncing, and integration points for existing accounting systems.

03

Build & Validate

Developed the platform in two-week sprints, with live contractor feedback sessions after each cycle to validate workflows and refine the UI.

04

Launch & Onboard

Rolled out to pilot contractors with guided onboarding, data migration support, and a dedicated success team for the first 30 days.

Business Impact:

Sinq provides a single source of truth for construction cost control, approvals, and variations across complex projects.

Improved Outcomes:

Clear cost visibility, reduced manual work, structured approvals, better variation tracking, and higher adoption by main contractors.

Foundry 5 understood the complexity of construction finance from day one. Sinq has transformed how we manage costs across every project, what used to take days now happens in real time. It is the most impactful tool we have adopted in years.
