Client reviews

Every agency has a wall of five-star quotes, and buyers have learned to scroll straight past them. The useful test is whether you can check what a client said without taking our word for any of it.

The standard

Four things a review needs before it appears here.

This page covers work that had to pass an external review, because those are the projects this part of the site is about. That keeps it short, and a short page of checkable reviews is worth more than a long one of anonymous praise.

Every review carries
  • A real name and a real role
  • The company, named
  • The project it relates to
  • What that project had to pass
The reviews

Two clients, both on gated builds.

Gather investment app
The team has been instrumental in driving both the design and development of Gather, pairing a proactive, highly responsive workflow with the technical depth needed to handle our platform's complexity. Their partnership continues to move the product forward in a reliable and impactful way.

Chris Jones

Chief Product Officer, Gather

What the project had to pass

An FCA-regulated investment platform that had to satisfy the regulator before it could take a pound of customer money.

Ove Care puberty support app
Working with Foundry 5 to create the Ove app has been an absolute pleasure. Their professionalism, work ethic, and willingness to always go the extra mile has really impressed me. I would recommend them to anyone.

Libby Tanswell

CEO, Ove

What the project had to pass

A health app for teenage girls, so consent, safeguarding, age assurance and a stricter App Store review all applied.

Somewhere we cannot edit.

A quote on our own website is a quote we control. The reviews worth reading sit on a platform where the client posted them and we cannot take them down.

No independent profile is live yet, and saying so is worth more than a badge that links back to a page we wrote ourselves. Until there is one, the most independent check available is the client, on the phone, answering your questions instead of ours.

Every client relationship has a hard week in it. Ask about that week, and judge us on how the client describes it.

The rules we set ourselves

Three things you will never find on this page.

All three are ordinary on agency websites, which is the problem. Each one makes a page look more convincing and leaves it worth less.

A star rating

None of these clients gave us a score out of five, so a score beside their name would be one we wrote ourselves.

An average, or a total

An aggregate rating needs a real count and a real source. Without both, it is a number picked to look good.

A quote from a build with no review

Praise for a product that faced no external gate says nothing about whether yours will get through one. Those quotes stay on the rest of the site.

2 clients / 0 invented numbers

Ask any of them about us before you ask us.

Pick a client from the work on this site whose build faced the same review as yours, and we will put you in touch. You choose the reference, because a reference we pick for you is a testimonial with a phone number.
