What problem were we solving?
Yacht crew members often experience social isolation due to constant travel, long working hours, and a lack of a dedicated platform to connect with nearby professionals. Existing social apps fail to provide verification, location relevance, and industry-specific discovery, creating trust and engagement challenges.

Scope of Our Work
End-to-end design and Flutter-based development of a verified, map-driven social networking platform for yacht crew with real-time features and scalable backend integration
Research
Analyse the lifestyle, movement patterns, and social challenges of yacht crew members to define a location-aware, community-driven platform tailored for the marine industry.
User Experience (UX)
Design clear and intuitive user flows covering onboarding, CV verification, map exploration, nearby yachties, hangout creation, joining events, and chat interactions.
User Interface (UI)
Create clean, modern, and map-focused screens with a consistent design system across profiles, maps, hangouts, and chat interfaces.
Prototype
Build interactive prototypes to validate map discovery, hangout creation and joining, profile viewing, and chat experiences before development.
Development

What we built and how it works
Verified Crew & Map-Based Discovery
Admin-approved onboarding ensures only real yacht crew have access to the platform, while a live map allows users to discover nearby yachties and ongoing hangouts instantly.
Public Hangouts with Integrated Group Chat
Users can create and join public hangouts visible on the map, automatically unlocking group chats that enable natural social interaction and coordination.
