What problem were we solving?
Customers struggled to express redesign ideas and choose the right designer, while designers lacked a structured way to showcase skills and manage communication in sustainable fashion workflows.

Scope of Our Work
Defines the complete range of research, design, development, testing, and deployment activities undertaken to successfully deliver the LOOM platform.
Research
Analyze user behavior around clothing reuse and sustainability. Study designer workflows, skill specialization, and pricing practices to shape an upcycling marketplace.
User Experience (UX)
Design clear user flows for customers onboarding, garment upload, project posting, designer price commenting, designer selection, and controlled chat interactions.
User Interface (UI)
Create clean, modern screens with a consistent design system across onboarding, project posting, designer profiles, pricing responses, and chat interfaces.
Prototype
Build interactive prototypes to validate garment upload, designer discovery, price commenting, and chat unlocking before development.
Development
Develop a scalable mobile application integrating user authentication, image uploads, designer skill selection, project workflows, chat system, commission logic, and backend APIs.
How we approached the build
Discovery & Scoping
We mapped every user need, technical requirement, and business goal before writing a single line of code.
Architecture Design
We designed a scalable backend and clean frontend structure built to handle growth from day one.
Build & Iterate
We developed in two-week sprints with client demos at every stage. Fast feedback loops kept us aligned.
Launch & Handover
We deployed to production, ran full QA, and handed over clean documented code with full support.
Project Timeline
Research-driven UX planning, clean UI design, structured project workflows, secure media handling, and continuous testing ensured scalability and reliability.

User Retention Increase
Business Impact:
LOOM creates a streamlined ecosystem for sustainable clothing redesign by simplifying collaboration between customers and designers. Allowing customers to reimagine their wardrobe and reducing global waste on clothing.
Improved Outcomes:
Higher project completion rates, stronger designer visibility, increased upcycling adoption, and improved platform retention.
Foundry5 have gone above and beyond to bring my vision of Loom to life. Not only this, but they continue to be an integral part of our team. They are lovely people to work with, and I recommend them to anyone looking for a software partner. Particularly for non-technical tech founders (like me!) who need to ensure that their business is in safe hands.
